Do you think that in one weekend it is not enough to get to know three of the most iconic places in the Far West of the USA?
What if we tell you that in a weekend -three days- you can get to know Los Angeles, Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon. That’s right: three states (California, Nevada and Arizona) in a single weekend getting to know some of the icons of this great country.
Stay here and find out how.

Los Angeles

The first day is dedicated to the fascinating city of Los Angeles. A symbol of the contrast of this country. On the one hand, you see the dazzling residences of Hollywood or Beverly Hills and the skyscrapers of downtown and on the other the large number of homeless and alienated people who populate its streets.
For a day-tour around the city, there is no doubt that you should visit the emblematic Walk of Fame. It is located on Hollywood Boulevard. Not taking a photo with the star of your favorite celebrity, for some, is like going to Paris and not being photographed at the Eiffel Tower. It is about fifteen blocks in just over two kilometers with more than 2,700 stars representing film, television, music, theater and radio.
If you like it, you can enjoy the street performances of the countless imitators of your favorite artist. The most represented, of course, are Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson.
If you feel famous, you can create your own star of fame. The BHStar company offers a unique service for visitors to Hollywood Boulevard to “Be a Hollywood Star” for a day. Sponsors will receive a personal photograph with their name on the Walk of Fame star to keep as a memorable keepsake.
Another landmark and a must on a whirlwind visit is the giant Hollywood sign, the famous Hollywood Sign on the mountain. Scene of innumerable scenes of cinema and television, from this place, in addition, you will be able to enjoy a privileged view over the city.
To go to Beverly Hills is to be transported to an epicenter of the rich and famous. It is the area with the highest number of “celebrities” per capita in the world. Although the definition of “famous” can vary. You can rent a tour with guides explaining the anecdotes of the owners of the mansions of the place.
Although there are trees that cover some houses for privacy, others offer their sumptuous facades to public view. You can go to this exclusive neighborhood by metro, rent a car or buy a ticket for the guided City Tour.
Near Beverly Hills is Rodeo Drive, with the best luxury stores with a high possibility of finding a celebrity shopping. Several of its stores were looted in the 2020 riots.
Melrose Avenue is a street famous as a site for restaurants, bars and entertainment. But its many graffiti murals are the star. It is almost like walking through an art gallery and observing the great development of the art of graffiti and muralism.

Las Vegas

The second day very early we took a flight to “The City of Sin”. Las Vegas is a city in the middle of the Nevada desert, developed in its beginnings by the Italian Mafia of the USA and today its “hotel-casinos” are very visited by locals and foreigners.

We did a separate article on Las Vegas that you can read here.

Grand Canyon

On the third day very early from Las Vegas you can go to the Grand Canyon of the Colorado River in Arizona.

You have several options from Las Vegas. You can choose one of the innumerable tours: by bus it is about $100 and by helicopter it is about $300, depending on the tour operator.
You can be sure that it will be one of the most impressive experiences of your life. Grand Canyon National Park is truly a treasure. Visiting the Grand Canyon during these uncertain times offers fresh air, perspective, and as much excitement as you’re willing to experience.
Traditionally, the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, accessed through Arizona, was the best way to see the Grand Canyon. But with flights to Las Vegas so affordable in recent years, many visitors chose to visit the West Rim, which features the glass bridge hanging over the canyon’s rim, the Grand Canyon Skywalk.
Now that flying or traveling through an airport carries its own risks of exposure to Covid-19, traveling by car has once again become the preferred way to visit Grand Canyon National Park. Each rim and each type of course offers a unique way to experience the canyon, and there’s no better way to do it than another. But there is only one way to know which one is your favorite: Make them all!

Conclusions

Each of these three attractions has much more to see than can be seen in a single day.
But in this lightning circuit we wanted to show how it is possible to have a complete end of week without rest knowing one of the most exciting corners of the United States.
Beyond this, it is a spectacular way to get to know two sides that coexist in this immense country: its entertainment industry and its associated star system and its great natural beauty.
